CHOPIN Frédéric (1810-1849)

Emblematic figure of the Romantic style, Frederic Chopin is one of the most famous pianist of his time. His influence extended throughout the Western music future.

After starting in Poland, he chose to settle in France. He arrived in Paris in late September 1831, the Parisian artistic community allowed him to exercise his talents and achieve celebrity. He carried on a relationship for 9 years with the French woman writer George Sand.
